The Perth Stadium and Sports Precinct is being jointly developed by a number of State Government agencies and authorities.
The Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR)
DSR is the Client Agency for the project, responsible for defining the service scope and functional requirements for the Stadium and Sports Precinct.
Perth Stadium continues DSR’s commitment to provide quality facilities to Western Australians, ensuring people can participate in sport and recreation, building stronger and safer communities and healthier and happier people.
DSR has achieved success in delivering state and national level stadia and sports facilities, enhancing the sport and recreation industry. Stadia include the State Netball Centre, the WAIS High Performance Service Centre and the nib stadium upgrade.

The Department of Treasury - Strategic Projects and Asset Sales
Strategic Projects and Assets Sales is a division of the Department of Treasury and is responsible for the master planning of the Perth Stadium and Sports Precinct. The Agency also leads the procurement and contract management of the Stadium’s pre-construction site (PCS) works, the design, build, partial finance and maintenance (DBFM) works and utility services to the site.
Strategic Projects and Asset Sales has experience in a similar role in the planning and delivery of a portfolio of 17 other high profile building projects for the State Government, including the Fiona Stanley Hospital, the Perth Children’s Hospital and the Eastern Goldfields Prison.

VenuesWest is the Governance Agency for Perth Stadium. It is responsible for managing the project’s transition from construction to operation in addition to the procurement of the Stadium Operator, who will undertake the day-to-day management of the venue. VenuesWest will also manage the appointed consortium during the Operating Phase.
VenuesWest is Western Australia’s provider of premier sports, recreation and entertainment venues and currently governs 10 State-owned sporting facilities in Western Australia including HBF Arena Joondalup, Perth Arena and HBF Stadium. It is also the Governance Agency for the State Netball Centre and the WAIS High Performance Service Centre, both are currently under construction.

Public Transport Authority and Main Roads WA
The delivery of an integrated public transport system is a key component of Perth Stadium comprising of three main work packages. They will be delivered by the Public Transport Authority and Main Roads WA.
The Public Transport Authority is responsible for delivering:
- The six-platform Perth Stadium Station
On behalf of the Public Transport Authority, Main Roads WA will deliver:
- The Swan River Pedestrian Bridge and the associated special event bus stands in East Perth.
- The Victoria Park Drive road works, which includes an underpass, bridge works and modifications to the Graham Farmer Freeway pedestrian overpass
The Stadium Bus Station has been included in the DBFM contract and will be delivered for the PTA by Westadium.
A public education campaign will take place in the lead up to the 2018 opening of the Stadium and Sports Precinct, highlighting the various transport options to bring patrons safely and efficiently to and from the venue.
